This mountain and its surroundings hide numerous remains of medieval castles and forts, such as Garić grad, Jelen grad, Košut grad and Turski stol, and monasteries such as the Pauline and Franciscan monastery. Its highest peak is Humka (489 m above sea level).
Legends and folk tales intertwine here, and archaeological sites bear witness to life from the Neolithic, Korenovo, Sopot, Lasinja and Vučedol cultures all the way to Illyrian and Roman times.
