Serbian Cultural Center Isidor Dobrović

Srpski kulturni centar 002

The space consists of a library with about 4,000 books, an office and a gathering space for 50 people, with the adapted inventory that was already used by the children from the Daruvar subcommittee for their workshops. At this location, you can also get legal advice, because a lawyer is employed through the Serb National Council. A useful and practical aspect is that the facility is in the city center and that it will be used by Serbian institutions, principally by the Serbian National Minority Council and the Education subcommittee. The building in which the Serbian Cultural Center is located was owned by Isidor Dobrović who, together with his wife Hristina, donated it to the Serbian Youth at the beginning of the 20th century, and after World War II, Serbian Cultural Association “Prosvjeta” in Daruvar took ownership of it.
