ROCKABILLY FESTIVAL TWO DAYS ROCKABILLY PLAYS

The Two Days Rockabilly Plays Daruvar festival, a creative and innovative event, is a true celebration of rockabilly culture, music and style, which takes us back to the golden days of the 50s. During the event, the city becomes the center of the singing rockabilly world, offering visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy an authentic rock’n’roll atmosphere. The festival brings top performances by local and foreign bands, DJ sets, dance workshops, old-timer exhibitions, and special programs for all generations.

As part of the event, the first authentic rockabilly souvenir in Croatia was presented – the Daruvar rockabilly skirt. This elegant souvenir combines the style of the 50s with recognizable symbols of Daruvar, such as ginkgo leaves and Janković Castle, thus promoting local culture in an extremely creative and interesting way. Along with ginkgo leaves, the motif of the Janković Castle (symbol of the city of Daruvar) and the recognizable crane motif (giving Daruvar its name) are visible on the skirt.

In addition to the rich music program, the festival is also suitable for the youngest visitors who can participate in dance workshops and enjoy a real rockabilly experience. Free concerts, creating retro hairstyles and make-up, and numerous activities on the town square are just some of the experiences that await the dancing and singing devotees of the rockabilly world every year.
