The Zagreb – Čazma Supermarathon, also known as the From Kaptol to Kaptol race, is held on the route that starts at the Zagreb Kaptol and ends at the Čazma Kaptol. This 61.35 km long race symbolizes the historical connection between the Catholic religious and organizational units of Zagreb and Čazma.
The reason for organizing the race was to mark the 750th anniversary of the existence of Čazma. The initiator of this extraordinary event is journalist Boris Kožar, who organized, ran and won the first edition, which was broadcast by Zagrebačka televizija (Television of Zagreb). For many years, the Zagreb–Čazma Supermarathon was the longest road athletics race in Croatia and is among the oldest sports events in the country. This race also holds the title of the oldest ultramarathon race in Croatia and is highly ranked in accordance with the rules of the Croatian Athletics Federation.
