Bjelovar Theatre Echoes or, locally named, BOK Fest in short, is one of the recognizable symbols of Bjelovar and one of the most important theater festivals in Croatia. Launched in 2003, the festival soon won the hearts of the audience, and under the artistic direction of the famous actor Goran Navojec, it grows year by year and attracts theater lovers from all over the country.
In addition to the most popular plays from Croatia, the BOK fest regularly hosts foreign theaters, and the program is enriched with numerous events such as the BOK Handball Tournament, the Retro Party, the Actors' Motorcycle Alka and the Actors’ Exhibition, which is unique in the world.
The main sponsor of the festival is the City of Bjelovar, and the organizers are the Public Open University Bjelovar and the Bjelovart association. The festival is traditionally held at the end of April and beginning of May.
Since 2011, there is also the Little BOK fest for the youngest, which is held in February, dedicated to the children’s audience, which extends the significance of the festival to new generations.
