We’ve traveled a fair bit of the world, but we love the places that feel like home. Bjelovar-Bilogora County definitely offers that feeling whenever you come back. We have visited several times and we plan to come again. Its trump cards are great cycling trails and horses, there is an excellent outdoor offer, and we were particularly impressed by the Romany House and the Mato Lovrak Center in Veliki Grđevac. Above all, there is a delicious selection of food, beer and wines. Ginko has a great story, and the Janković Castle is a must-see cultural and photo spot when we are in Daruvar. At the mention of Bjelovar-Bilogora County, we first remember how hospitable and open the people are, then how good the food and how charming the nature is. This county has as many as three mountains that you can explore: Moslavačka gora, Papuk and Bilogora. We highly recommend the Gravel bike tour through the hills, through the villages and of course a short break in one of the wineries. When it comes to the cities, Daruvar somehow suited us best: castle, parks, brewery, wellness tourism and the best burek at Faruk’s. We could talk and talk forever about all the things we liked. We were very pleasantly surprised, any part of the county can be turned into a nice trip.
