Although I love all of Croatia, Bjelovar-Bilogora County has a special place in my gastronomic heart because it has always been possible to eat and drink well here. For years now, I have been the chairman of the jury at the Filekijada in Garešnica, and I often go to the Fišijada as well. The best squid in the country is in Feral in Bjelovar, and the best burek in the country is made in Daruvar – big shout out to the legendary Faruk! Let’s not forget the fantastic beers from the brewery of Daruvarska pivovara, the plum days in Sirač and in general – you should visit this county as soon as possible!
