I am an island child and for me every visit to any region of our country is an unintentional search for what makes a county or region similar to my island. And this county, full of greenery and colors, reminded me of an island in the middle of a continent. An island inhabited by a sea of all shades of green through the forests of Bilogora and Moslavačka gora, and the customs and traditions themselves somehow make this area completely atypical compared to neighboring regions. I was impressed by the rich tables containing a mix of influences of different cultures, the hospitality of people as if they were your own flesh and blood, the beautiful views and the healing wealth of the Daruvar Spa at affordable prices. My opinion is that everyone should go to Daruvar Spa for recovery after a summer vacation (especially a family vacation). :)
I was most impressed by the Romany House, the story of ginkgo and the “Na malenom brijegu” family farm. I saw the most beautiful sunset at the “Mihoci Vrata Bilogora” family farm. Garešnica is beautiful with its biological richness, and the Medjama promenade near Čazma is very special and calming. The Salaj family estate is also a perfect winter location, as is the Matešin Gallery. Restaurants that offer food as medicine as part of the 6-i elements, and don’t even get me started on the burek at Faruk’s and beer... There isn’t a bad place there and no matter where you go, you won’t regret it. I hope to come back again.
