Velikogrđevačka Komušana has been going on for six years, and this year it was held in the Mato Lovrak Cultural Center in Veliki Grđevac. This event celebrates tradition and autumn customs, attracting visitors of all generations.
Visitors can visit the Fair of local products and old crafts, where they can enjoy the tastes and smells of tradition and buy handmade products from local artisans. As part of the event, the Komušana Procession and the Fijakerijada are held, which give visitors a chance to step back in time. The most interesting part is the stage display of husking, along with workshops for making husking toys as well as candles from soy wax. At the Little Miller workshop, the youngest have the opportunity to learn how to knead and bake bread in a bread oven. The cultural and artistic program with performances by cultural and artistic groups and tambura orchestras, along with husking games for adults, is only part of the event, as visitors can try a carriage ride, view an exhibition of old-timer tractors and enjoy a selection of the finest corn bread.
